Royal Whanganui Opera House

The Royal Whanganui Opera House is New Zealand's last Victorian theatre, elegantly standing since February 1900. The theatre seats 800 patrons and is the perfect venue for many local, national and international events.

The venue is equipped with a range of audio and visual equipment, spacious dressing rooms, a Lounge/Bar for pre-show and intermission refreshments, and an in-house ticketing system (as well as being a Ticketek agent).

Our team can assist with all aspects of your event, including event and technical set up, as well as advice and expert support to ensure your event is a success.

A Box Office is conveniently located to the left of the Theatre for ease of ticket sales. You will find us open from Monday to Friday between 10am-1.30pm.
